What great fun we had at dinner!
Linda of Are We There Yet visiting all the way from Connecticut. She was the catalyst for bringing us all to dinner at the delectable Cancun in Stockton.
Her fun and funny friend Cyndi who lured her back to California for a visit (atta girl Cyndi - THANKS!) Yeah it’s a little odd to always be taking pictures of our food and everything else. Thank you for arranging the spectacular fireworks show just for Linda!!!
Sandee of Comedy Plus with the funniest side comments ever (“she must have teeth down there“) Commodore?
Mr History who only says “its her story“…not much else…but doesn’t miss a thing! (I kept wondering if he was profiling each of us…can I get a copy of the report?)
(I was right…those two are totally lovey dovey and gitchey gooey)
The Teamster accommodating, amused, and all around good guy. He now has two more blogs to read…
And me…..who’s camera had dead batteries…can you beLIEVE that? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
It was the first time my weblog world crossed through the looking glass into my brick and mortar life.
It was interesting to me (having never met these guys) how much we knew of the personal details of each other’s private lives. Previous posts kept popping up in my mind. And of course we talked about some of you who weren’t at the table…..laughing. I think the restaurant is considering a new policy of no flash photography.
Truly…I totally enjoyed meeting all of you. The time went by so quickly. Linda…enjoy the rest of your visit…whether it includes Tahoe or Yosemite or or Bakersfield or “J”. Sandee…we look forward to Isleton Joes!

Since I'm new to the blogworld I still had my doubts whether you people (is that profiling?) are real or virtual...For anyone who still doubts, you are real. It was a lot of fun to watch the "bloggers" connect in real life while the Mr. History and I enjoyed a few words and the show.
It was very nice meeting everyone, Linda...I hope you don't default to Bakersfield....Sandee...maybe we'll catch you guys out on the Delta someday...
Katherine, I saw the photo at Sandee's. It is wonderful and you all look like you're having a blast. I was just saying to someone how true it is how much we know about each other's personal lives as bloggers. We divulge so much in our posts, that we wouldn't say to our real life friends. It is a unique type of friendship and connection.
Thanks for sharing. Fireworks?! How awesome. I'm sure they were for Linda. She's a Duchess you know....
Katherine - I had a fantastic time and it was so wonderful to meet you and The Teamster and Sandee and Zane! I'm sure that Cancun has already posted a sign refusing service to bloggers or other people with cameras! Though all things considered I think we were quite well behaved!
Cyndi is still a bit amazed about the whole blogging phenomena but I think is getting used to me pulling my camera out for every little thing - maybe!
The fireworks were a great touch (thanks, Stockton!) and I'm really looking forward to seeing the ton of pictures that Mr. History took - as well as the videos! Now those should be interesting!
Looks like I've got another blog to add to my Google Reader but having met The Teamster, it's going to be great to continue to read his posts and remember all the while what a great smile he has and that twinkle in his eye. You two are the cutest couple ever - second only to the mushy-gushy Commodore and Mr. History!
We need to do this again sometime ... perhaps I can entice the four of you to the East Coast next time??
What a great post Katherine. I too had a great time. It was one of my very best evenings ever. You and Teamster are awesome folks and I look forward to getting together on the Delta this season. You are just too close not to swing by from time to time. We can also travel in your direction as well. Love to take you on a boat ride if you're game. If not Isleton Joe's is a go. Big hug to you both.
Linda has been someone I've wanted to meet for a very long time. It was so wonderful to finally connect. She is everything and more than I imagined. How can you not love Linda? Well, you just can't.
Cyndi was a hoot as well. She kept us all laughing most of the evening. That's one fiesty sweetheart. Love her.
There are tons more pictures and several really nice videos. Let me get back from the boat and I'll get them posted too. Well maybe not the Iran one... you all remember that conversation.
Have a great weekend Katherine and Teamster. :)
Aaaahhh, I wanna join y'all next time!!!!!! Bee, wanna go?
From what I've read so far it looks like you gals had a wonderful time. I wish I could've been a fly on the wall. :) Did you run into any paparazzi? I know that they had to have been tipped off that there was a blogger meeting in progress?! I hope that you avoided 'em.
Being a regular reader of you and Sandee as well as ocassionally catching Linda, I can just imagine the bunch of you together. It must have been a blast.
We're still planning a trip down to Santa Rosa this summer, so hopefully we can meet each other then.
Ha! I'm so envious! Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Funny you should utter Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - hubby says he's going to have a tee-shirt done up that says that. Some events just evoke that, don't they?
What a wonderful time!
Awwwwwww.....lucky youse guys.
:-)
Sounds like a swell time. "Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot"...Ha, clever. Cheers!!
Isn't it great meeting blog buddies???? I'm so glad you got the chance to do it...sounds like you had a great time...It had to be great..I mean look who was there!
Peace
I cant wait for September when I get to meet Linda! She has the unfortunate pleasure of having me as a house guest too :)
I am made up you had such a nice time.
Meeting bloggers in person is the BEST.
TurnBaby had a post today about those who think we are nuts to consider those we have never met "In Real Life" as friends...
Yes we are real Teamster...LOL...
And we had a great time at the fest... Charlie has a new guitar player who is insanely good...
Now I wanna go to California.
Katherine, that sounds like so much fun. I haven't met any of my blogfriends in person YET but there are a couple of girls that it is just inevitable that we will meet this summer. I have spoken on the phone with one friend and she got a kick out of my SUUUUTHERN accent.
Glad that you had such a good time.
Jennifer
Great stuff. Because I live Down Under, where there aren't many bloggers, I never get to emulate the US, UK and Canadian bloggers who actually catch up with one another. But this week I actually met and had lunch with one of the people on my blogroll. Stay tuned!
*thinkin' about ya....*
(prone to doing stuff like that.....)
