I am thankful for being the youngest of nine in my family...Mom and Dad were worn out by then and I got to do pretty much what I wanted to do. Cheers!!
Great list. Its funny, teenagers say we are unfair with boundaries but I think they feel unloved without them. You have alot to be thanksful for. Happy TT and thanks for stopping by. BTW, my DBF noticed the IPOD came before the sex too...totally not on purpose;)
Being raised with lots of boundries is hard to think of as a positive when you're little, but man-they sure do make a difference. Great list today! :)
Those are indeed some powerful learning experiences. It's good that you can see the positive in so many difficult circumstances.
Great list Katherine!
I was raised with lots of boundries too and man I'm so thankful for them now.
wow, that is a great list. I was an oly child so I never learned a lot of things--like how to share and such but I did have boundaries too. Great list. Just popped in to say hello to you today.
I resemble some of your remarks.
Thanks for the edited peace globe. I just replaced my blah one with what you sent over.
YOU ROCK!
I am also the oldest and in some ways it was good... in others, I felt cheated...my brother and sister had much more freedom than I ...
Having boundaries is a wonderful thing..in hindsight...
Very nice list my friend....ty for this one
Great list. Boundaries give one a direction and a moral compass, sorely needed when one is in the midst of teenage (or young adult) rebellion.
But, I must agree with Mateo on one thing - I loved being born the youngest!
Great list of things to be thankful for :-)
My list would be very similar.
The only really important addition would be:
David Hasselhoff
~Oswegan
great list.. happy TT!
Wow... some of those I'd have a hard time being greatful for. Still, you are right in the end.
I am an oldest child too. It wasn the freedom from rules that bothered me as much as the extra responsibility... but it turned out to be a wonderful thing.
This idea of emphatic perception is intriguing.
Oh how I cursed being required to present a logical arguement--and oh how I'm glad I got that training, today.
Great list, ma'am.
I didn't play along this week, but wanted to say what a great list!
Sounds like you had great parents growing up :-)
Why is it that we grow so much smarter as time goes by? If only we knew then what we know now.....
Wonderful list and thanks for sharing.....
Peace
katherine, I'm thankful for a lot of stuff like that that I wasn't thankful for before. My post is at Answers to the Questions
Also I have a post on being an empath you might like it: Are You An Empath
Lovely list and we share most of these.
I am also the oldest--and you and I have discussed the club of which we wish we were not members.
UCLA & CA---not so much ;-)(although you live in a remarkable place)
Is emphatic perception like ESP? That's sweet.
I was the oldest with my brother being seven years younger. That was difficult. (Spoiled little brat!)
Boundaries? Sheesh, yeah. My folks were born in the 'teens and I was a teen in the sixties! Can you imagine the culture shock? I couldn't be a cheer leader - couldn't "parade around half naked on a football field!" And those were shorts that were almost to the knees! Couldn't get my ears pierced. But you know what? I wouldn't trade a minute of it!
Great perspective ... some things we are thankful for at the time, while others it takes time for us to truly appreciate them!
and, to answer your question on my blog ... yes ... sword class! :)
Something For You
good things to be thankful for... xoxo nita
