Looking at the sky on Friday ~ Idaho Storm (9)

Lookingatthesky

We had just left Fairfield, Idaho, rushing the fifty or so miles to Mountain Home…skirting thunder storms, braving harsh wind.  I’m on the back of the bike, without any face shield, protecting the camera lens from the rain…and my only thought is “I gotta get a picture of this for Tisha’s Looking at the sky on Friday.”  True Story.

Wow, that is amazing! Of course you had to get the shot, and I'm glad you did.

Ohhhhhh....Crepuscular rays!

*happy wiggle*

I LIKE crepuscular rays bunches and lotsa. Bless your heart for capturing that memory and sharing it with us.

Yikes....HOW the shot came to be was enough of an adventure...aren't you suppose to hang ON when you're on the back of a motorcycle?!

Did you get any bugs in your teeth?

what a totally brilliant photo - I love it when those (what did Ms Mel call them? crepuscular?) rays beam out of a cloud like that. . .

brilliant

and the fact you saw it and took it from the back of the bike too

amazing

(and no bugs squashed on your lens either!)

thank you

Sure hope the weather is good when I pass through there on my way to Oregon. Meeting a friend there next week to start a motorcycle journey. At least it's not tornado prone Oklahoma or Kansas!
Peace.

All of this for me!?!? I'm so happy that you risked your life for me. Thank goodness you (and your camera) made it through this shot unscathed. Now this is true dedication, my friend! Much love. :)

Thanks for playing along.

Oh, in all of the excitement, I forgot to comment on the photo! *LOL*

It's brilliant. I love the rays sneaking out from those trapped clouds! Very nicely captured. Thank goodness.

Love the shot, but I think I'd be thinking more than just getting the shot for Tisha. Just saying.

Have a terrific day and weekend. Big hug. :)

Great capture. You did well to get that shot, and it came out good in the end :)

I read about how your face shield broke off when the wind blew it off. That was a tough storm.
I never would ride in the rain.
Your sky picture turned out good even if you did risk ruining your camera. Happy Sky Looking,
..
