You can't say something like that and then disappear!!
An earthquake? That would scare me.
All's well?
(that'd be good to know, yaknow!)
oh sorry....5.6 is kinda small...everything here is fine...nothing fell or anything.
It lasted longer than most...but was a "rolling" type of movement not so much a jolt as some of them are.
I live about an hour from the epicenter..but even there we hear no immediate reports of any damage or injury.
Just saw it on the news. Just the "typical" California roller! They're really kind of cool - afterwards! It's that not knowing where it's headed that's not funny!
And the people in the land of tornados think we're weird for living in CA!~
When I lived in southern Cal (Indio)we used to call it the land of shake and bake.
Earthquakes (and all the people) are the main reason I have no desire to live in California. The worst thing we ever get out here is the occasional tornado and blizzard (not normally at the same time, though!).

I.WOULD.NOT.LIKE.THAT.!!AT.ALL

Ugh. I'm not sure I could live in a place that has quakes so much that any are "little ones". I'm glad it was small though, and that you're ok!!
I thought about you when I heard the news. We've had a few rumblers over the years here in the desert. I even felt one in Indiana several years ago (the New Madrid fault). It's a very disorienting feeling.
Glad to hear you're fine. I guess the one yesterday was very shallow, so the rolling feeling would not be unexpected.
Something I have not experienced...Not sure I really want to, but so happy you are OK my friend...
you are all kinda sweet.
this type of earthquake is like being in tornado country and having a little thunder storm...
Y'all are going to have to do better than that if you want to upstage the fires.
Glad you're OK. I just saw this on the news as well.
5.6 eh? That's a pretty nice shake.
I haven't actually felt one since I've been up here - we've had a couple very small ones.
I'm curious how they'll feel because I'm actually in slip and jolt territory. I've mostly experienced rollers in California.
And hey y'all - the ground can shake anywhere!
Having been through a couple of earthquakes while I was a California citizen I have to say that they are the strangest things ever. By the time you know what's going on, it's over and you're just left with a sort of "weird" feeling. I would be more scared to have one in a place where they aren't expected as at least out there structures are designed to withstand such seismic events.
Glad to hear you're all fine!
