Remembering Papa

My Grandfather would have been 94.  We are celebrating his birthday for the first time without him.  He had a long life…well lived…and well loved.

Being the last of nine, and my mom having me at the age of 43, I never really knew any of my four grandparents...You're a lucky chick. Cheers to you and your Grandfather's spirit, Kat!!

Such a lovely tribute to a man who was obviously very well loved by his family and who will always be remembered.

My grandfather died in 1972 when I was but 13 years old and I still miss him all these years later. There is just something about grandfathers and their special place in our lives that can't be filled by anyone else.

That was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. It was obvious that your grandmother and grandfather loved each other very, very much. They are so very special. He's in heaven and I hope he's having a wonderful birthday.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hug. :)

Both of my grandfathers passed when I was pretty young.

Beautiful tribute to your papa.

Everyone should be so blessed to be able to look back upon their lives and see these: family, love, and happy times.

YOU are blessed to have had this man in your life. I never knew any of my grandparents; most of them died before I was even conceived, and one I visited just once before she passed away.

one of my grandfathers lived until he was 92. . .

but for all the years I knew any of them, I never saw any grown-up in my family express love and happiness as even just that first image

you are blessed

I am having trouble with the video. I can't get past the first 2 images. Will come back.

I remember your post about him last year. He was indeed well loved.
