I am so fascinated by spider webs !! Way cool--and you have to think there's more intelligence going on in the creation of that than there was in doing what I've got posted today *tee hee*
I followed your link from Hammer's blog. That spider web picture is awesome.
And as someone who lives in Oz, where the spiders are pretty famous, I have to ask the question: if the web's that big, how big's the spider?
Nice Wordless Wednesday shot. I guess you might like the one I posted for Wordless Wednesday as well. It's natural colours, not digitally enhanced in any way - and just shows you some of the amazing shades we see in our sky here.
I looked at the large view to get an idea and I know NOTHING but I remember seeing, while trying to identify one of my spiders, funnel or tunnel spiders. Your web has an opening. I don't know if its for babies or for prey. Try bugguide.net, they have helped me a bunch!
I sure hope it was the web that is the size of a soccer ball and not the spider! I love spider webs, too, but this guy looks as though he was smokin' crack while spinning... Thanks for visiting... ~~~Blessings~~~

I have no idea what type of spider spins this web.
It was about the size of a soccer ball.

Love spider webs.
Of course I had "step into my lair" zipping through my head as I saw this.

That is one very creepy looking web. I'm not much of a spider fan so I get the feeling that one would have really crept me out!
Just looking at that creeps me out--I have a huge fear of spiders. *shudder*
