a wee bit o' the piping...


My stepdad Joseph arranged for the pipes to be played during the Celebration of Maggie's Life, It was way cool.

Yes, Way cool! My daughter's name is Maggie, the one that is no longer with us. Maybe the Maggies will meet in the afterlife.

Ah, but I do love the pipes - along with a handsome man in a kilt playing them. I'm sure Maggie was looking down and loving it, too!

You'd think the sound of bagpipes would not mean much to someone like me, who was born and educated in India - but bagpipes (a legacy of the Raj) are a stirring sound to anyone who grew up in Calcutta.

Believe it or not, they are even mentioned in an Indian setting in my first novel.
