Heads or Tails ~ Never Say Never

Miz Barb may have put her weblog on the back burn to become Chubsie the Dwarf Hunter of the Malfurion Realm (in the World of Warcraft) but she continues her weekly Heads or Tails…this week is Never Say Never.

edit: Chubsie has vaporized....be on the lookout for Amorra the Shaman...Shalamar the Druid Night Elf....and Spryte the gnome hunter....

Truthfully when I first heard about “blogging” years ago…I knew I would NEVER EVER have a weblog. Why in the world would I want a blog? I certainly wouldn’t want to share the personal details of my private life with anyone (let alone strangers) on the world wide web! Who would want to read it anyway? Besides I would NEVER want to read anyone else’s blog. I mean really…who would I possibly be interested in reading…

Never say Never.

I now have seventy-some different weblogs in my Google Reader. I am compelled to keep up to date…and feel a tad guilty if I don’t “make the rounds.” Monday is Manic, Tuesday is HOT, Wednesday is Wordless, et cetera. There are bloggers all over the world I now consider my “friends.” People I laugh at, banter with, pray for. If I go a day without surfing through the blogworld I start to feel that pull of withdrawl. I carry my camera just about wherever I go…in case I see something I will want to post. When I relate some story or interesting detail, my kids raise their exasperated eyebrows at me and say…”is this some blog thing?”

Never say Never.

Precisely.

Isn't it funny how blogging has changed our perspective on Life now? I know my paradigm has changed.

I hate to blog. I do it only to satisfy my masochistic side. Cheers!!

Oh Katherine - I see you in a whole new light now. You sound SO SO SO like me!!! And, you make me feel great that I'm not the only one with over 70 blogs in my reader, which I feel compelled to visit every day, otherwise, I'm neglecting all of my fabulous friends ;-) I honestly talk to my online friends more than I talk to anyone in person!

Seventy?

Yipes! You sound entirely too busy.

Yes, blogging is more than an addiction. It really is about forming relationships and offering encouragement, building a smaller world, and becoming globally-minded.

Who woulda thunk it?

I hear ya! :) I might go several days without writing but if I go several days without reading/commenting, then I feel like I'll never catch up! Oh...the guilt! LOL!

It's funny how blogging can get into your blood. I'll be someone and if something happens one of my first thoughts is what a great story this will make on my blog. I spend way too much time blogging and reading blogs. But it's worth it for all the new friends you can make on here.

When I started my blog I had never even seen one. I had only heard about them. I Googled and found BlogSpot and the rest is history.

I always been kind of an open book to anyone who cared enough to listen. I'm glad I found a lot of those people here. *Nudge Nudge* You are one of them!

Chubsie is no more. I went to the server that my son and daughter-in-law play on. Now I'm Amorra the Shaman.. and Shalamar the Druid Night Elf.. and Spryte the gnome hunter. Mike is just as addicted as I am. ;)

I never knew I'd be so addicted to blogging either. Who knew? LOL!

Yup. I could not have explained the thing any better.

LOL...just gave up WoW a few weeks ago ... too much other stuff going on in life, and stuff to blog about that 95% of the world understands. Not that an Onyxia raid isn't exciting, mind you ... :)

I've found my two months of being in the blogsphere quite interesting.

"People I laugh at, banter with, pray for" is a great sumery. It's been great to get aquainted with people like you and so many others in such a short amount of time.

That post, Katherine, speaks to me as it speaks to all bloggers, I'm sure.

You're so right - never say never!

I know what you mean. I did something that was very hard yesterday, deleted some of my feeds on bloglines. It was up to 130. I managed to get it to 100.

*hangs head in shame with her addiction*

I may have to check out Miz Barb... I've never been into WOW but I have a gnome running around Shattered Kingdoms. (it's a good thing Spryte is in a different world)

There is no way I could support the gnome and read 70 blogs a day... You are dedicated.
